Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Licensed (in Texas) Childcare Director to oversee all aspects of our Alternative Childcare Program. This individual will ensure compliance with state licensing regulations, develop enriching programs, and lead a team of dedicated childcare professionals. The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader who is excited to build a childcare program from the ground up, fostering an environment of creativity, learning, and care.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement a high-quality, play-based childcare curriculum that aligns with CoPlay Cove’s mission.
Ensure full compliance with Texas state childcare licensing requirements and maintain all necessary certifications and records.
Hire, train, and manage a team of caregivers, educators, and support staff.
Establish and maintain health, safety, and emergency policies and procedures.
Oversee day-to-day childcare operations, including enrollment, scheduling, and parent communication.
Foster strong relationships with families, providing excellent customer service and addressing concerns promptly.
Maintain financial oversight of the childcare program, including budgeting, payroll, and resource allocation.
Collaborate with CoPlay Cove’s leadership team to integrate childcare services seamlessly into the overall mission of the space.
Stay current on best practices in early childhood education and implement innovative approaches to caregiving.
Demonstrate flexibility and agility in responding to the evolving needs of the center, staff, families, and community; adapting practices as needed while keeping the greater good and mission of CoPlay Cove in focus.
Qualifications
Must hold a valid Texas Childcare Director’s License OR meet minimum state requirements to obtain a license.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in childcare management or early childhood education leadership.
Strong knowledge of Texas childcare licensing regulations and compliance requirements.
Proven leadership experience, with the ability to recruit, train, and manage staff effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with both children and parents.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Passionate about early childhood education and creating enriching environments for young children.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
Experience launching or managing a new childcare facility.
CPR and First Aid certification.
Familiarity with play-based learning and innovative childcare methodologies.

The Cove Coordinator is the first impression and steady presence of CoPlay Cove. This role blends front-desk operations, member support, light administrative duties, and community hospitality. The ideal candidate is organized, warm, proactive, and confident managing multiple responsibilities while creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere for families and members.
Responsibilities
Greet members, families, and guests with warmth and professionalism.
Manage check-ins and check-outs for coworking and childcare services.
Answer phones, emails, and general inquiries promptly and courteously.
Coordinate room bookings, schedules, and membership logistics.
Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting reception and common areas.
Support events, tours, and onboarding of new members.
Communicate clearly with the Cove Director and childcare team regarding arrivals, concerns, or updates.
Monitor supplies and assist with light inventory tracking.
Uphold safety, confidentiality, and professionalism at all times.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
1–3 years of experience in hospitality, front desk, coworking, childcare, or customer service roles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking ability.
Comfortable using scheduling software, email, and basic office technology.
Reliable, punctual, and detail oriented.
Natural problem-solver with a calm and friendly demeanor.
