Starting a business gives you an endless list of things to spend money on. A website. A logo. Software. Equipment.


It's easy to budget for all of it and leave your own learning and relationships to whatever time is left.

But you're the one making the decisions. Knowing which questions to ask, where to find sound guidance, and who to call can shape your business long before your first sale.


I learned that firsthand. When I started building CoPlay Cove, I thought the hardest decisions would be about design and programming. Instead, some of the biggest ones were questions I didn't yet know to ask. Bringing childcare, coworking, and a café under one roof meant learning state licensing, contracts, and pricing all at once. My background in product management taught me how to plan. It couldn't give me the people who had already walked this road. Every answer I found from someone who had been there made the next decision easier, and I wish I had found that room sooner.


That's why I created Founder Foundations: Build Smart, From the Start at CoPlay Cove.


On November 19, four experienced professionals will join us for a hands-on workshop for aspiring and early-stage business owners:

The conversations between sessions matter just as much. Over a charcuterie lunch, you'll meet a future collaborator, someone who has worked through the same challenge, or the professional you'll know to call when the next question comes up.
